This in my opinion is the second most important upgrade to invest in for each and every ship! You will survive more battles and take less damage the tougher your ships are. Upgrading your hull strength makes your ships tougher by increasing the armor. While important I believe it should be your FOURTH priority. You will be able to take more food, wood, and silver for each and every hit. Increasing the percentage your ships can carry will make it so your EITC runs or PvP attacks more productive. It will improve your hunting rewards for monsters, but it doesn’t help you crowbar anyone in the face during PvP, so invest at your own discretion. The crate quality upgrade is nice if you have the extra points to spend. This is in my opinion one of the most important upgrades to max first for each ship. This upgrade controls the percentage of your individual upgrade bonuses in ship firepower. You do have a limit of points to upgrade your ships that can be expanded with research in your Lore Collection.
Types Of Ship UpgradesĮach of these elements give your ship better functionality for battle, hunting, and collecting from resource islands. These upgrades include: Cannon Caliber, Crate Quality, Hold Size, Hull Strength, Improve Ship Equipment, Buckshot, and Upgrade Keel. Once you reach the Galleon there is a wide variety of types of upgrades you can apply to your ships.
You can access each of your ship’s upgrades by taping on the ship and then the 4th icon from the left labeled “Upgrade”. Keeping up with your upgrades for all of your ships is a must once you get your Galleons, Bomb Vessels, Frigates, and higher level ships.
